Artistic expression—visual, performance, prose, or other—helps us read the world, build broad connections, and envision new possibility.
I use the arts to explore and expand themes of individuality and interdependence, beauty and joy. My visual arts practice is characterized by playful, vibrant, accessible imagery, familiar recycled materials, and celebration of human connection.
My artistic writing and performance pieces add a personal lens to my ongoing work of bridge building and changemaking.
Co-Creation Series: What do we want the future to be?
What do we want our collective future to look like? What does wellness mean for our community? What’s the most beautiful thing we could hope for?
That’s the answer contained in the co-created panels and canvases below. This project, started in 2024, invites participants to a short, grounding lesson about the importance of our radical imaginations before dreaming individually about what the future could and should look like. We use our own ideas to collaborate on a shared canvas in real time: negotiating paint choices and design elements, overcoming shyness and rusty skills, and literally engaging in the messiness of co-creation. After our session together, I use participants’ notes in my home studio to refine and finish our panel before presentation.
